I know it seems like an abomination to most of the pigeon experts out there but I’m trying to feed my roller pigeon breeder pair this Purina Layena pellets.
I’m weaning them out of seeds and grains and its so painful watching them go hungry since they wanted to eat the usual food they are used to. They did manage to eat some but hopefully they will get accustomed to this chicken pellets since it has a lot of vitamins and minerals in it. These pellets are a little smaller than the regular pellets so my roller pigeons can easily swallow them.
I had to buy those 25 lbs bag since they don’t sell 5lbs bag. If you are planning to feed pellets you don’t need to give them grits.
